Up Not Out

This work is a response to a sustainability brief from last year.
'If we do not change our direction we will end up where we are headed' - chinese proverb
I'm thinking about the Great Australian Sprawl and how we are eating up our land so that each of us can have a piece of the Dream. We should be worshipping our land, not raping it for housing development. we should be living in our city centres, in towering sky scrapers designed by innovative and revolutionary artists, and leaving the forest to the trees: so that we have something to visit....and breathe. it's a sad fact. i'm born and bred from the bush. but every time i go home to visit, Town is closer and closer and kookaburras, green tree frogs and wallabys are less and less.
